When will I notice a difference?

Will it fit my shower?
Almost certainly. It screws onto any standard ½-inch shower arm, which is what nearly every South African bathroom has. If your current shower head unscrews from a pipe coming out of the wall, Gleame will fit. No tools, no plumber.
How long does the filter last?
Up to 6 months, depending on how hard your water is and how often you shower. When the water starts to feel harsh again, it's time for a new cartridge. It twists out by hand.

Good to know before you buy
Does a filtered shower head really make a difference?
Yes, especially in areas with hard water like most of Gauteng, the Free State and the Northern Cape. The 20-stage filter reduces chlorine, sediment and heavy metals before the water reaches you. Most people feel softer water on the first shower and see smoother, shinier hair within two weeks. If you don't, you have 30 days to send it back.
Will it fit my shower?
It fits any standard ½-inch (G½) shower arm, which is what almost every South African bathroom uses. It does not fit handheld-only or built-in rain panel systems.
How do I install it?
Twist off your old shower head, wrap the thread tape (included) around the pipe, and screw Gleame on by hand. It takes about a minute and you don't need tools or a plumber.
Will it lower my water pressure?
No. The 90 silicone nozzles are designed to keep a strong, even spray. If your pressure ever drops over time, rub the nozzles with your thumb to clear any scale.
How often do I change the filter?
Up to every 6 months, depending on your water and how often you shower. The first filter is already fitted when it arrives.
Will it help with eczema or dry skin?
Many people with dry, sensitive skin find filtered water gentler, because it has less chlorine and fewer harsh minerals. Gleame is not a medical device, though, so please speak to your doctor about any skin condition.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are delivered in 3–5 business days anywhere in South Africa. Now and then it can take up to 7 business days. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.
Can I send it back?
